Mrs. Julie Brown
Hello sudents and families,
This will be my first year as a PUMA!!! I’m honored to be a part of the Polenta family and a part of your child’s educational journey. I value student and family relationships and see them as an integral part of academic success. Your child’s emotional, intellectual, social, and physical wellbeing are important to me; and I teach using a whole child approach. My methods are student sensitive; student traits, interests, preferences, and learning styles drive my teaching.
I have a strong understanding of child development and the family unit. The work that I have done and my educational background, with an emphasis on child and family studies, will serve you and your child well. I’ve worked in early childhood education, family education, parent education, special education, early intervention services and general education.
I am a mother of five bright children - Alexis (19), Emily (17), Nicholas (15), Elias (6), & Benjamin (3). Most of my free time is dedicated to them and their interests. I cherish family time and find happiness in exactly that. Teaching is my passion and I am blessed to be able to do the work that I love.
I cannot wait to meet you,
“My favorite place to be as a child was the strawberry patch. I ate A LOT of dirty strawberries” ~Julie

Johnston County Public Schools is always striving to provide students and families with exemplary service. In most cases, school bus transportation is essential for many students to access a quality education. In order to meet our daily goal, it is necessary to implement change that enhances and improves our overall operation. As we prepare for the 2022-2023 school year, JCPS Transportation Services and School Nutrition will be hosting a Summer Information Fair at each high school.
