Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Arnitra Gilliam
I am excited about this school year. I have been a school counselor for 11 years. Before becoming a school counselor, I was a social worker at DSS for 9 years. I attended North Carolina Central University for my undergraduate and graduate studies. I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a Master of Arts in School Counseling. At NJMS, I work with students on an individual and group basis who last names that fall between A-L. Also, I provide character education lesson on a monthly basis for all 7th and 8th grade students. I look forward to meeting all students and parents. Counselors will facilitate a Google meet for Social Emotional Learning on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:00-8:30 a.m. for all students if needed. I hope everyone have a great school year.
