I also received my General Education licensure during my 2nd year of teaching. I have three small children. My oldest daughter is 10 years old and is in Fifth grade. I also have a son who is 8 years old and is in 3rd grade and I have a little girl who is going into First grade. My life is pretty crazy but I wouldn't trade it for anything! Here is the schedule: Schedule
The Food Bank of NC will be providing food at our school at 12:00 on Tuesday, April 21st. Beginning April 27th, we will resume curbside pick up at our school on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Each meal container will include one hot lunch, one prepackaged lunch, and two breakfast items.
Parents and Guardians As a means of supporting our families with using Lexia Reading at Home, an important tool our students use to help increase their reading capacity, the company is offering “FREE” webinars just for parents and guardians who are at home helping to fill in the gaps during times. In these webinars, Professional Learning Facilitators will instruct families of K-8 learners on how to: Get set up and started (your student should already have an account). Support children's learning at home. Track progress and extend learning.
We realize that some of you may not have internet and/or devices or may prefer paper copies, so we will be preparing instructional packets for our students. Families can pick up the packets on Friday, March 27th at 11:30am by the back of the cafeteria.
As the school year comes to a close, please note that JCPS meal service will now operate at 9 sites during the summer months, rather than the previous 14. Summer meal service will begin Monday, June 1. Curbside meals will be served Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Benson Middle, Clayton Middle, Four Oaks Elementary, North Johnston Middle, Princeton Elementary, Selma Elementary, Smithfield-Selma High, West Clayton Elementary, and West Smithfield Elementary.
Attention parents of 4-year-olds: Are you interested in your child attending a free preschool program? The NC PreK program is designed to provide 4-year-old children with positive early learning experiences that support their development and prepare them for Kindergarten.
JCPS high schools will host “modified” traditional graduation ceremonies between Wednesday, July 29, 2020 - Saturday, August 1, 2020. Schools will communicate about specific graduation dates and ceremony times as we get closer to see what restrictions may limit our attendance participation.
