Hello! My name is Jennifer Conrad and this will be my 7th year of teaching! I graduated from East Carolina University. I graduated with a B.S in Special Education with a concentration in reading. I also received my General Education licensure during my 2nd year of teaching. I have three small children. My oldest daughter is 10 years old and is in Fifth grade. I also have a son who is 8 years old and is in 3rd grade and I have a little girl who is going into First grade. My life is pretty crazy but I wouldn't trade it for anything! Recently, the Johnston County Board of Elections notified our school system that our school will be used as a voting site for the upcoming primary on March 3, 2020. Therefore, our school will be closed on this day for students and will become an optional workday for staff. The district considered the option of making up this day, but determined this would present scheduling challenges for students, staff and parents. Additionally, the yearly instructional schedule has been calculated and our school will have more than the required 1025 instructional hours for the academic year. We apologize for any inconvenience this schedule change may cause and thank you for your understanding as this adjustment is made to our calendar.
Due to the increasing severity expected for this afternoon's weather, all Johnston County Public Schools will now dismiss one hour early. *Meadow will dismiss at 2:20! Students will receive their lunches prior to departure from school. Please make arrangements to pick up all after school care students by 2:50pm. Also, during carpool, we may be releasing fewer students at the time, depending on the severity of the weather, as safety is our top priority. Thank you and have a great day.
