ECES Project Lit
We are pleased to announce that ECES is one of the newest chapters to be added to the Project Lit Community. There are over 550 chapters, nationwide. These chapters range from upper elementary through high school.
Project Lit is a book club where students come together to discuss current culturally relevant books while promoting the love of literacy. Students who decide to become a part of this movement will not only read and discuss the novels, but they will also assist in helping performing a literacy service project to promote literacy.
The most important part of being a member of this group is sharing our love of reading and great books.
Students in the 4th and 5th grades are eligible to participate in the club. Book club meeting will take place after school on Monday afternoons in the Innovation Hub. Meetings will occur biweekly. Parents are responsible for providing transportation home at the conclusion of the meeting. Meetings will conclude at 5:00. Parents will pick students up in the front carline area.
Some books we will be reading this season include: The Parker Inheritance, Wishtree, Amina’s Voice, and The First Rule of Punk.
