Timothy Kayl (Kyle) Whitaker

I am happy to be able to work at SJHS and even more so to work with such a wonderful faculty, administration and great students! I have performed on many occasions with incredible choirs and music programs including the Campbell University Choir, the 'Campbell Voices' small ensemble and the Campbell University Choral Society several performances. In my graduate school I enjoyed being taught by great biblical theologians, scholars and mentors in addition to my music studies in vocal pedagogy.  In addition to my position here at SJHS, I have been on the ministry staff of Buies Creek First Baptist Church as of May of 2019 leading worship as well as our church's Worship Choir, Instrumental Ensemble.  I am also recently married to my beautiful  wife, Leighanne (who is also a teacher for another school system) on May 4th, 2019 ("May the 4th Be With You")

  • Updated Social Distancing Procedures

Information on social distancing in school settings has been recently updated by the NC Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS). Upon receiving information from the NCDHHS, we consulted with the Johnston County Public Health Department on the impact these updates will have on our school system. This ongoing collaboration continues to guide our decision-making as students return to classrooms for in-person instruction.
