Welcome back, Comets! All classes will use Canvas this year for online resources, which is accessed through Classlink.
AP Biology and AP Environmental Science will operate on an A-Day/B-Day schedule during 3rd block. This means students will come to class in person every other school day. AP Biology is designated as the A-Day class, and will first meet on August 29th. AP Environmental is designated as the B-Day class, and will first meet on August 30th. Students may come to Comet Time any day to receive extra help.
1st block and 2nd block classes will come to class everyday as normal.

B.S. in Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology from North Carolina State University AP Certified
Mr. Giovanni Loia
Mr. Loia is a native of Johnston County and grew up in Smithfield. He attended North Carolina State University where he studied Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation biology. Before becoming a teacher, he worked as a wildlife biologist in New York, California, and the Outer Banks where his work largely focused on birds of prey; but also studied mammals, amphibians, and shore bird species.

Johnston County Public Schools is committed to building well-rounded students and consistently improving our schools for greater student success. Updated School Nutrition Information for 2022-23
We hope that you and your student have already noticed some of the exciting new food and meal opportunities we are offering in our cafeterias this school year. Our new options will include more fresh produce, vegetarian options, and opportunities for students to customize their meal choice. These new offerings will be available at both breakfast and lunch.
