John G. Munro
Born and raised between the 5 and the 15 freeways in Fallbrook, California, John Munro has been somewhat of a nomad for the last 5 years. After recieving his teaching credentials from the University of Redlands in 2013, John went to Japan to teach English for 2 years. His two years in Japan he considers to be a fantastic experience and helped him in his experience as a teacher. Instead of settling back in California, John went to New Jersey to try his luck there. John found a history teaching job at a small Jewish private school in Cherry Hill New Jersey for two years. His experience there was rich, but his luck in finding a full time teaching position was rotten. With the idea of trying another place, he was guided to North Carolina. His luck changed and the interviews came from the Tar Heel State. In 2018, John began his new life in the Raleigh area and he hopes to continue and teach history here for many many years to come.
What Mr. Munro wants to accomplish in class are the following; An appreciation for history, organization skills, and a good work ethic. With these three traits, students will show their skills and become successful not just in Mr. Munro's class, but in other classes as well as life outside of school.
