Mr. Carlos Pineda
Let me introduce myself. My name is Carlos Pineda and I am one of the sixth grade Social Studies teachers at Swift Creek Middle School. I am originally from San Antonio, Texas, but traveled extensively during my childhood. I come from a military family background and also served in the military after high school. I lived in Atlanta, Georgia for 17 years before moving to North Carolina in the summer of 2013. I am married and have 3 daughters plus I am a grandfather to 9 grandchildren. I received my BS in Education from Shorter University in Rome, Georgia. Besides my passion for teaching social studies, writing is my favorite past-time. I have self-published a book titled, “Honor Thy Daughters, A Fathers Story of a China Adoption” in 2008 about our adventures in China. I also illustrated a Children's book. I look forward to meeting all the students and parents this coming school year.
