Our district is launching a new portion of our website to further communicate bus delays and replacements with our families. We encourage those who have a student who utilizes our transportation to get to or from school to visit www.johnston.k12.nc.us/busdelays for updates on our school bus routes beginning Tuesday, January 18.

WME Field Day 2022 Is A Success Despite Weather
This year's Field Day saw many changes in its schedule due to rain and even hail. Through it all, the spirits of the staff and students were undaunted and Field Day turned out to be a remarkable success.

Pinwheels for Child Abuse Prevention and Autism Awareness Month
A few WME students and staff planted blue pinwheels in support of Child Abuse Prevention and planted colorful pinwheels in support of Autism Awareness.

Celebrating Twosday
WME had fun celebrating "Twosday" (Tuesday 2/22/22). Various staff and students dressed up in attire such as tutus, ties and tiaras. Different classes engaged in activities highlighting the number two to commemorate the once in a lifetime event.

Carmen Pena Escobar Recognized for Showing the Character Trait of Courage
Carmen Pena Escobar is a 5th-grade career-long student at Wilson’s Mills Elementary. She exudes the character trait of courage on a daily basis in and out of the classroom. She believes in working hard to achieve her goals and rising to the occasion when confronted with a challenge. Wilson’s Mills is proud to recognize Carmen Pena Escobar for the character trait of courage.
