WE ARE HERE FOR YOU!!
The most important message I have for students and families right now is that West Smithfield Elementary and I am here for you no matter what the need may be. Our priority is the health, safety, and well-being of our students and families. Please know that you can reach out to me through email, Class Dojo, or Google Classroom for any need at all. If I cannot immediately help, I will find someone who can help. Parents, it is especially important that students get into some type of routine or schedule for the next several weeks. I will add a suggested schedule to Google Classroom for students but will also have it posted on my website. You know your situation better than anyone else so please adjust the schedule to fit your and your student's needs. The proposed schedule includes suggested academic times as well as "brain breaks". Even though we are not in the classroom, learning has not and cannot stop. Please ask your student what they learned each day and keep those academic conversations going. For 5th grade science, I will be posting weekly lessons on Google Classroom every Sunday, for the following week. I have structured our science lessons as close to our actual classroom routine as possible to help the students get back into a routine. Know that I am here for you and your family. I have posted "Office Hours" for online or phone conferences but please know that I understand that those times may not work for your schedule. I will be happy to talk to you at a time that is convenient for you, just send me and email and we will work together. Please take care of yourselves and each other and know WSES is here for you!!
