Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Adriane P. Walker

Welcome to Team Walker! I am Mrs. Adriane P. Walker, and I am teaching Fifth Grade Math here at Cooper Academy this year! This is my eighteenth year in education, and I am excited to be a part of the Cooper Family!

I am the wife of Coach William R. Walker, Sr., who teaches and coaches football at Clayton High; and the mother of three: JR, a current college student & football player at Virgina Tech; Jirah, a graduating Senior at Clayton High; and CJ, an sensational Second Grader here at Cooper. We come from Elizabeth City, North Carolina! I have a BSED in Elementary Education [K-6], and have taught grades 2 - 8. Additionally, I attended The Ohio State University for a MSED in School Counseling, and Grand Canyon University for an MSL in Organizational Leadership. I have coached Track & Field at the high school level, and am still a fanatic of the sport!

The 2019-2020 academic year is one we all will not soon forget! This year brought about many challenges, especially in regards to how we teach and how we learn! It is the strength, resiliency, and tenacity we've embodied throughout this process that I want us all to continue to carry! Let every memory be a great one; let every thought not be "what if", or "we didn't", nor "we couldn't" ~ let them instead be WE DID, WE HANDLED, and WE EXCELLED!

I am PROUD of every single one of my students, my teammates, and Cooper Academy as a whole! The greatness we never knew we possessed, showed up and propelled us into even GREATER! Enjoy EVERY moment of your summer break, and I cannot wait to see my new babies in the fall!

To the Cooper Academy Class of 2020, I SALUTE YOU! You were my first group of new loves when I got there, and I have enjoyed having you these past two years!
