Miss Caiti Rogers
Hello fabulous first graders! My name is Miss Rogers and I am so excited to be your first grade teacher this year! This is my seventh year as a super Cooper teacher (I taught 2nd grade two years ago in Boone, North Carolina!) and my 8th year teaching! It is going to be a fun year full of new adventures and lots of learning and I cannot wait to see what the year has in store for us. I want to know all about you, but first I'm going to tell you a few things about me....
I was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and moved to North Carolina when I was 9 years old. I have lived in Clayton for the last 20 years and cannot imagine being anywhere else! I went to Appalachian State University (Go Mountaineers!) where I received my bachelors in Elementary Education. I couldn't wait to graduate and start teaching! I am a "mom" to a crazy cat named Jasper T. He has more energy than a room full of first graders! You will hear more about him this year.
One of my jobs as your teacher is to help you discover what a great student you are and I'll work with you this year to make sure that you're ready to head off to 2nd grade! I am excited to meet you and look forward to our school year together!
