Mrs. Tamara Seelig

Hello! I am one of the ELL specialists here at Selma Elementary. I have worked at Selma for 13 years. I have been a teacher in Johnston County for over 25 years. It is my privilege to work with our English Language Learners in the four basic domains of Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking. When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, and shopping. I am originally from new York but moved here with my husband in 1994. I have one daughter who started college this year! My husband is also a teacher in Johnston County.

  • I hope that everyone has a relaxing and SAFE summer! Can't wait to see everyone again next August! If you have moved on to the midle school please stop by so that we can say hello!

My schedule changes daily. Many of my students are in the Dual Language Program and so I work with them on the days/times they are receiving their instruction in English. I work with all of the grade levels here at Selma from K-4th. Most of the time I pull out my students into a small group setting where they can receive maximum attention and instruction from a teacher.

In addition, I also work with the 4th grade Student Leadership group four times a month. We work on fostering leadership skills in our school , at home, and within the community.
