Mrs. Tamara Seelig
Hello! I am one of the ELL specialists here at Selma Elementary. I have worked at Selma for 17 years. I have been a teacher in Johnston County for over 25 years. It is my privilege to work with our English Language Learners in the four basic domains of Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking. When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, and shopping. I am originally from New York but moved here with my husband in 1994. I have one daughter who is in college! My husband is also a teacher in Johnston County.
This year my focus will be working with students in grades 2nd and 3rd. I am super excited to see my second graders from last year and be able to get to know some new friends in 2nd grade!

ACCESS Testing for English Language Learners
North Carolina schools are required to administer ACCESS for ELLs 2.0 to all students identified as English Learners (ELs) in the spring of each year to determine their progress in learning English. Each student is tested in four areas: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. This assessment helps us monitor their English language development.
