Degrees and Certifications:
Kristi Lewis
This is my 3rd year here at Cooper Academy. I have a bachelor’s degree in Educational Studies from Western Governors University with a focus on Elementary Education. I am from Hampton Roads, Virginia. I am married, and have two beautiful children. My oldest, Rachel, is a junior at Clayton High School. My youngest, Tristan, is in second grade here at Cooper. It has been my dream to teach at Cooper since my daughter attended years ago. Before teaching, I was in the engineering field. After my son was born, I decided to go back to school to be a teacher, and make my long-time dream a reality. I spent my first year at Cooper teaching Arts & Literacy, and last year, I taught third grade. I can’t express how I excited I am that I will be teaching 1st grade this year! I feel that it is my calling to make a difference in the lives of children. I am very honored and excited to get to know your child!
