Mr. JD Orosco

Welcome to Swift Creek Middle School Spanish Class.

My name is Mr. JD and this is my second year at The Creek teaching Spanish.  I am from Indio, California but moved to North Carolina on January of 2018 to start my career as a teacher. I graduated from California State University, Northridge with a degree in Psychology and minor in Spanish. I got engaged to my beautiful fiancee about a year ago, Daylyn and we have three wonderful fur children, Jack, Lily and Bean. When not teaching or at NC State, I love to watch movies, play my guitar, spend time with friends and time with my fiancee.

A fun fact about me is that I can play seven instruments and love to watch Soccer and Baseball.

  • With having to transition to online, here is the new schedule that students will have class time with me and then time when parents and students can reach out if they have any questions on any assignments that have been posted online. As always, I am available by phone or email and can also reach out on google classroom. I hope everyone is being safe during this time.

  • A Commitment to Solidarity, Peace, and Acceptance

Johnston County Public Schools is in the business of providing a holistic educational experience that affirms and prepares our students for successful lives by teaching not only academic disciplines but how to treat one another. We are aware of recent social media posts and other unacceptable actions that have brought attention to racial and political insensitivity, which this school district does not condone.
