William "Tony" Jones
Our new school year has begun! And we would like to say, "Welcome to the Preschool Space Adventure." We have an exciting year planned for the children and for the parents.
I am originally from Smithfield, NC but moved away after high school. I traveled around, lived in a few places, but eventually I came back home to be closer to family. This is my 5th year teaching at Powhatan Elementary School and my 18th year working with children. I started my college career at ECU studying Special Education and I finally finished at The University of Mount Olive with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education with a birth thru Kindergarten license. I also earned my Masters Degree in Education in Early Childhood Education with a concentration in Special Education from The University of Mount Olive. My spare time is spent with friends at the beach or mountains, in my pool, or teaching at JCC and UMO.
Mrs. Grenier, Mrs. Fisher, and I have lots of fun and exciting things planned for the kids this year. If you have any questions, please feel free to call (919-553-3259 x 4279) or email me at williamjones@johnston.k12.nc.us.
