Ms. Jennifer Gee

Hello! My name is Jennifer Gee, and I am an Exceptional Children's teacher here at Powhatan. This is my second year at Powhatan, and my fifth year working in Johnston County. I lived in North Carolina for eleven years with eight of those years in Johnston County. I grew up in Pittsburgh (Go Steelers!), and I have had the privilege to teach children in four different states including Pennsylvania, Indiana, Florida, and North Carolina. I graduated from Purdue University (Go Boilermakers!) in 2000 with a BA in Elementary Education and a minor in reading. Over the past 18 years I have been an educational program director, private tutor, first, third, and fifth grade teacher, and now I am honored to teach exceptional children. Last year,  I added a K-12 special education certification for extended content standards to my license. I am so excited to be here at Powhatan where I can continue to wear black and gold to match my college and football teams! It is going to be a wonderful year!
