Hello!! I hope you had a great summer and are ready for an awesome school year!!

Here is a little info about me:

I grew up in JoCo so I attended Johnston County Schools as did my children.  I graduated from Smithfield-Selma High School (SSS).  After graduation, I attended Meredith College (Meredith Girls Best in the World) in Raleigh, NC where I earned a BA in Mathematics. 

I taught at West Johnston from 2011 - 2014 and returned in 2018.  During my time here I have taught Algebra 1, Math 1, Geometry, Math 3, AFM and Discrete Math.  So let's get ready to rock this math!!!  

  • Hello and welcome back to the 2nd semester of the 2022-23 school year.  I hope you're excited about all that this year has in store for us!  I look forward to working with you to learn the foundational principles of algebra in the Math 1 class.  Let's get ready to learn!!  

    I suggest the following Supply List for our Math 1 class:

    • 1 subject spiral notebook  
    • 1 folder OR 1 sheet protector
    • 1 Expo OR Dry Erase Marker(s) 
    • Pencils
    • 2 Highlighters (any color)
    • 1 pack of sticky notes (any color)
    • graph paper (optional)
    • TI-84 graphing calculator (suggested but optional) or Desmos access (graphing calculator app or website)

  • Updated School Nutrition Information for 2022-23

    We hope that you and your student have already noticed some of the exciting new food and  meal opportunities we are offering in our cafeterias this school year. Our new options will include more fresh produce, vegetarian options, and opportunities for students to customize their meal choice. These new offerings will be available at both breakfast and lunch.
