Mrs. Monica Neal

Hello I hope you had a great summer and are ready for an awesome school year!!

Here is a little info about me:

I grew up in JoCo so I attended Johnston County Schools as did my husband and our children.  I graduated from Smithfield-Selma High School (SSS).  After graduation, I attended Meredith College (Meredith Girls Best in the World) in Raleigh, NC where I earned a BA in Mathematics.

I taught at West Johnston from 2011 - 2014.  During my first stint here I taught Algebra 1, Geometry and Math 1 and most recently I taught Math 3, AFM and Discrete Math.  Last year I taught Math 1 as a Wildcat and I am back again this year so I am hyped about being back as a WILDCAT TEACHER!!

  • Hello and welcome to the 2020-21 school year.  I hope your excited about all that this year has in store for us!  I look forward to working with you to learn the foundational principles of algebra in the Math 1 class.  Let's get ready to learn!!

I suggest the following Supply List for our Math 1 class:

    • Device with internet access (preferably a Chromebook/laptop/tablet)
    • binder/paper or notebook
    • graph paper
    • pencils
    • TI-84 graphing calculator (suggested but optional) or access to an online
      calculator or app
