Mrs. Jeanne McClure

I am so excited to be the Remote /Virtual Learning Coordinator this year!

I am originally from a small town near Buffalo, NY - North Tonawanda. I have been with my husband for 25 years, and we have four children, two girls, and two boys. They attend Johnston County Schools.

I graduated from NCSU, GO PACK!, with a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture and Landscape Design. I designed the Southern Garden at Johnston Community College. I worked in public and private sectors designing water reclamation systems that use plants as biofilters for potable water. I worked as an Outreach Coordinator for Girl Scouts developing and facilitating STEM programming before coming to Cooper Academy.

Additionally, I am currently at NCSU pursuing a dual Masters of Education with a concentration in Learning, Design, and Technology, also Engineering and Technology Education.

I will be working hard to ensure that students receive the best Virtual and Remote experience we can offer.

Email is the best and fastest way to contact me: jeannemcclure@johnston.k12.nc.us.

  • Updated Social Distancing Procedures

Information on social distancing in school settings has been recently updated by the NC Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS). Upon receiving information from the NCDHHS, we consulted with the Johnston County Public Health Department on the impact these updates will have on our school system. This ongoing collaboration continues to guide our decision-making as students return to classrooms for in-person instruction.
