Mrs. Jeanne McClure

I am so excited to be teaching STEAM at Cooper Academy again this year!

I am originally from a small town near Buffalo, NY - North Tonawanda. I am married to my wonderful husband of 25 years and we have 4 children, 2 girls and 2 boys that attend Johnston County Schools. I graduated from NCSU with Bachelors of Science in Horticulture and Landscape Design. I designed the Southern Garden at the Johnston Community College. I worked in public and privatte sectors designing water reclamation systems that use plants as biofilters for potable water. I worked part time for Girl Scouts developing and facilitating STEM programming before coming to Cooper Academy.

Additionally, I am currently at NCSU pursuing a Masters of STEM education with a concentration in Engineering and Technology. I am committed to making the STEAM Lab a safe and challenging environment with lots of critical thinking and creativity.  This year we are growing our school garden.
