Mrs. Brittany Weaver
I am so excited to explore Biology with you this semester! Throughout the semester students will be introduced to a variety of topics including biochemistry, cell structure, genetics, and ecology. We will also be doing laboratory activities during the course. Successful completion of Biology is a North Carolina graduation requirement. Students will take the North Carolina End-of-Course Exam. The exam will account for 20% of the student’s overall grade in the course.
A little about myself:
I am originally from Johnston County and graduated from South Johnston High School in 2007. This school year will be my 11th year teaching high school science and 9th at Corinth Holders High School. I completed my undergraduate degree at NC State Univeristy in Secondary Science Education in 2011 and completed my Masters from NC State in Science Education with a focus in Biology in 2019. This year I am serving as the science department chair as well as coaching JV cheerleading. I am married to Adam Weaver (who also works here) and we have a little boy named Warren Daniel. My husband and I live in Rocky Mount and enjoy getting to be pirates together here at Corinth.

All offices will be closed on July 4.
Johnston County Public Schools is always striving to provide students and families with exemplary service. In most cases, school bus transportation is essential for many students to access a quality education. In order to meet our daily goal, it is necessary to implement change that enhances and improves our overall operation. As we prepare for the 2022-2023 school year, JCPS Transportation Services and School Nutrition will be hosting a Summer Information Fair at each high school.
Our district is launching a new portion of our website to further communicate bus delays and replacements with our families. We encourage those who have a student who utilizes our transportation to get to or from school to visit www.johnston.k12.nc.us/busdelays for updates on our school bus routes beginning Tuesday, January 18.
The Johnston County Board of Education voted unanimously to approve the 2022 Johnston County Public Schools salary schedule at their regularly scheduled Dec. 14 meeting.
