Mrs. Cynthia Carvalho

I recently moved to Holly Springs, NC to be close to my son, daughter in law, and 4 amazing grandchildren I have been a Special Education Teacher for 20 years. I taught in Rhode Island and Massachusetts before moving here. During my years of teaching, I taught all grade levels and a wide variety of disabilities. Before becoming a teacher, I was a teaching assistant for 7 years. Being a teacher is something I wanted to do from the time I was very young. I truly care about my students as well as enjoy every day teaching my them. I like to think that I am a good "go to" person for my students when and if they are having a tough time with anything; academically or socially. I love to watch my students grow and learn through a variety of activities that they can enjoy! I am really excited to have the opportunity to be here at Clayton Middle School and look forward to a great year.
