Ms. Tara Lochner

Hi Riverwood students and families! My name is Tara Lochner. This is my second year here at Riverwood Middle School and with Johnston County Public Schools. I transferred from the Wake County Public School System where I was employed since 2004 teaching in different capacities. I found my niche to be in Middle School and I have taught 7th grade mathematics the last five years.

I have a 17 year old daughter that is a rising Senior at Lessville Road High School in Raleigh. I am also a proud dog mom to a 6 pound two year old yorkipoo named Penelope. She definitely keeps me busy on my free time. When I am not out walking or playing with her, my hobbies include going to the movies, shopping, and scrapbooking. I am a HUGE Dallas Cowboys fan and love to talk football during the season.

I look forward to sharing an exhilarating school year with you all!
