    Beta Club Induction Ceremony

    The Induction Ceremony will take place in Novmber.  Students will receive an inventation based on their performance.  More information will be sent out at a later date!  

     

    Junior Beta Club Eligibility Requirements for Beta Club

    Students need to meet the following criteria to be invited to join Beta Club.

    - All grades must be 85 or higher in each class for the whole year.
    - Conduct grades should be S's or O's.
    - Students must have an overall 90 average or better.

    Students need to maintain their grades and behavior. If students do not meet the criteria for a nine week period, then he/ she will be put on probation. If students continue to not to meet the criteria, then he/she will be dismissed from the club.


    Beta Club Dues

    Initial membership fees are $25.00. This includes $15.00 for the national organization membership, certificate and pin and $10.00 for the local club.  A yearly renewal membership fee of $10.00 will be due October 18th, 2019 for rising 8th graders in the 2019-2020 school year.   Please make a check payable to ALMS-Beta Club and submit to Mrs. Mozingo, room 607!

    Meeting Dates -- Our first meeting date will be Thursday, September 27 at 7:35 in the courtyeard.  If you are unable to attend, you need to see Mrs. Mozingo later that day to get the information about upcoming events at ALMS.   

     

    REQUIRED Community Service Hours and Covering HOME GAMES

    ALL members are required to complete 10 hours of volunterring or community service hours.  Five hours of service are due by October 31st.  The remaining 5 hours of serivce are due by the middle of May.   

    Also, Beta members are responsible for working the concessions stands for all HOME games! Each BETA member is expected to help cover concessions at least once per school year.  

    Please print out the appropriate forms below to track your hours and to turn in to Mrs. Mozingo, room 607 or Mrs. Garcia. Also, take pictures for the BETA Club scrapbook.  The form with directions and examples of ways to serve is ATTACHED below!

    Angel Tree

    Beta Club students will purchase a gift for a needy family. The gift will need to wrapped and brought to school in early December. Beta Club members will receive specific information in November. This project has helped many families in the community and throughout the county.
