    MEETING DATES:   May 9

    Earn 3 hours by helping sell a box of candy bars to raise money for school supplies to donate for needy students!  Parents must sign the form agreeing for you to participate.  Come to Mrs. Mozingo’s classroom for more information!  Money is due back by Friday, May 24 so we can purchase backpack supplies!

     

     

    Earn 2 service hours by donating 10 school supplies.  Use the list above as a guide.  School supplies will be collected until Tuesday, May 28!  Fifteen Beta Club members will stay afterschool on Tuesday May 28 to prepare pencil boxes and stuff backpacks for shipping!!!  Limited to 20 students!!!!

    Junior Beta Club Eligibility Requirements for Beta Club

    Students need to meet the following criteria to be invited to join Beta Club.

    - Conduct grades should be S's or O's.
    - Students must have a 90 or better in all classes for all quarters

    Students need to maintain their grades and behavior. After induction, students must maintain an 85 or higher in every class class. If a student does not meet the criteria for a nine week period, then he/ she will be put on probation.  If the student continues not to meet the criteria, then he/she will be dismissed from the club.


    Beta Club Dues

    Initial membership fees are $25.00. This includes $15.00 for the national organization membership, certificate and pin and $10.00 for the local club.  A yearly renewal membership fee of $10.00 will be due October 18th, 2019 for rising 8th graders in the 2019-2020 school year.   Please make a check payable to ALMS-Beta Club and submit to Mrs. Mozingo, room 607!

     

    Upcoming Events - Check the google classroom for the list of documents.  These events are not required but can count towards service hours!  TAKE PICTURES!!!

     

     

    MEETING DATES:  March 7, March 21, April 11, May 9

     

     

    May 1st – May 29th           Beta Club will collect 10 new school supplies for a mission trip this summer.  Donate 10 different items from the list for 1 service hour.  Donate a stuffed backpack for 3 service hours. 

     

     

     

     

     

     

    Meeting Dates --  Beta Club meets the first and third Thursday of every month.  Meetings take place in the media center or in the courtyard.  If you are unable to attend, you need to see Mrs. Mozingo later that day to get the information about upcoming events at ALMS.   

     

    REQUIRED Community Service Hours and Covering HOME GAMES

    ALL members are required to complete 10 hours of volunterring or community service hours.  Five hours of service are due by October 31st.  The remaining 5 hours of serivce are due by the middle of May.   

    Also, Beta members are responsible for working the concessions stands for all HOME games! Each BETA member is expected to help cover concessions at least once per school year.  

    Please print out the appropriate forms below to track your hours and to turn in to Mrs. Mozingo, room 607 or Mrs. Garcia. Also, take pictures for the BETA Club scrapbook.  The form with directions and examples of ways to serve is ATTACHED below!
