• Battle of the Books
     
     
    A team of 12 students read from the yearly list of books selected by the North Carolina School Library Media Association.  Books includes classics as well some newer books.  This team competes against all the other middle schools in the county by answering questions based upon book details.  In the case, of more than 12 students participating throughout the year, the final selection of students is based on knowledge of books and ability to work with teammates.
