BA in Middle Grades Education 2008
Mrs. Virginia McGuire
Hi, my name is Virginia McGuire. I am excited to be your 6th grade teacher for the 2020-2021 school year. This will be my 9th year to teach ELA and SS, and my 4th year here at RMS! My husband Shawn and I have 2 daughters named Teaghan and Isla. We enjoy living in Clayton and particularly love the beach, hiking, kayaking, and spending time with friends and family. We added a new member to our family recently, and his name is Brimley. He's an Australian Shepherd and he's the sweetest dog in the world. You'll see him from time to time, I'm sure :)
I graduated from Princeton High School in 2004. I then attended UNCW where I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Middle Grades Education in 2008. I taught for 5 years in Wilmington before moving to Clayton.
Yes, these are unprecedented times, but please know that I am dedicated to you guys and excited to make this year the best yet. Whether virtual or face-to-face, I promise to be here for you and do what it takes to help you have a successful first year here at Riverwood Middle! Go Ravens!
