Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Delphine Miller
I'm a graduate of East Carolina University. I'm excited to be teaching at River Dell Elementary.
I'm married with 3 children, they are my world. Taking pictures, going bowling and spending time with my family are my favorite things to do. My favorite color is purple; so you know I'm really proud to be an ECU Pirate!
In high school my guidance counselor told me to forget about going to an university because I wouldn't make it. Well, after having my family I went to school and graduated Cum Lade. I'm proof you can do anything you set your mind to despite my problem with spelling. That is why I became a teacher, in hopes of less children getting that negative feedback.
I look forward to many years ahead at River Dell Elementary!

We are in search of any River Dell Families or Friends of our school community that may have a willingness to volunteer about 2 hours in the evening on March 28th to share their passion/career in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math with our upper grade students. Our Art Teacher, Mrs. Anayiotos, needs our help. She would like to do a Kindness project. The kids will paint rocks with words of kindness. The painted rocks will be placed in a Kindness garden. She needs smooth rocks (at least 1 side needs to be smooth), cans of white paint (used to paint the rocks before the kids paint them), and cans of clear sealer. Thank you for your support!
SGA is selling candy February 11th and 12th for $.50. Candy includes fun size Skittles, M&M's, and Fun Dip. Carnations will be on sale February 13th and 14th. Carnations cost $1.00. All extras will be on sale Friday, February 15th. The sale will take place in the front lobby from 8:30-8:55 a.m. All money raised will go towards our Rise Against Hunger event at the end of the year.
A parent information session will be held on Thursday, February 21st from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. We would like to give parents an update on the progress of our school and address our goals for moving forward into next year. We would also like to give our parents an opportunity to give feedback on what you view as the biggest challenges facing our school and suggestions on how to improve our school to be the best we can be. We will have childcare provided for this event and we would love to have a big crowd.
