Miss Emily Huff

Welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Emily Huff and I am from Benson, NC. Even though, I grew up in Benson, I have always had a love for Four Oaks schools and the community. I graduated from South Johnston High School and East Carolina University with a Bachelors' of Science in Elementary Education. I have an additional licensure in Reading for Kindergarten all the way to twelfth grade.

As a teacher it is my goal to model positive behavior and help all students fully understand and develop each process in their learning environment. I think the most important thing that a teacher can do in a classroom is to build a sense of community and respect. I want all the students I teach or come in contact with to know that I care about them and respect their opinions and interests. I enjoy working with children and fostering their learning, through flexible learning and differentiation that meets each students’ needs.  I firmly believe in doing what is best for all children even if it means I have to face challenges. I will work hard as a teacher so that my students can grow as not only a learner, but as a person as well. I am very fortunate through teaching; I am able to pursue my passion.
