Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year. This year I am teaching all English III. I graduated from East Carolina in 1999 with a degree in middle grades education. In 2004 I completed a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction, and I received my National Boards Certification in 2006.
I love my ECU Pirates and the Dallas Cowboys! This past April I got married so students will have a new name to learn! I have a dog Zoe who is my boss each and every day. My brother has a daughter, Sutherlin, and a son, Griffin, who are my heart! I grew up in Eastern Wake County in Zebulon, and graduated from East Wake High School in 1995. High School State Assessments Update
On December 8th 2020, the Johnston County School Board of Education voted to return to Plan C (Remote Learning), we would like to provide an update to parents and guardians of options to complete state-mandated End-of-Course (EOC) and Career/Technical Education Post Assessment testing.

JCPS transitions to Plan B for all students
The Johnston County Board of Education voted to return all Pre-K and EC-Self Contained students to Plan B, four days per week, beginning on Tuesday, Jan. 19. These students will participate in face-to-face instruction on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, with Wednesday serving as a remote learning day. All other students in grades K-12 will remain on Plan C until Monday, Feb. 1.

Second Semester Choice Form
Every JCPS parent was to fill ou the Second Semester Choice form to choose either the Virtual Program OR face-to-face instruction for each of their students by Monday, Nov. 30. If you were unable to fill out the form by Nov. 30 please contact your child's school for assistance. The form was to be filled out for ALL students in grades PreK-12.
