I am the teaching and learning coach for North Johnston High School. My principal role is to help our school fulfill the objectives of JoCo2020. My duties revolve around assisting teachers in their professional growth. Specifically I can help teachers locate, create, and implement unique & innovative strategies. I will use walk throughs to provide encouragement and feedback as needed, or requested. I can serve as the "left tackle" and protect the teacher's "blind side"...provide a new perspective that we often miss in our day to day routine. I can help connect teachers with other teachers that are using relevant & exciting strategies and methods. In short...I am a teacher advocate and here to support the instruction as well as the learning process of our staff and students. My focus this year is to interact within PLCs to support the development innovative & relevant teaching methods as we begin to explore personalized competency based education.
