Mrs. April Stephenson

Hi students and parents! This is my 3rd year teaching at West Johnston. I have 21 years of nursing experience in the hospital setting and will be teaching Nursing Fundamentals (CNA) and Health Science II.  I was born in Raleigh and grew up in Durham County. I am passionate about healthcare and look forward to getting to know you and helping you figure out your interests.  I am also a HOSA co-advisor and will be encouraging you to join!

I have been married 10 years and I have 1 son who is 22 and 2 step-sons who are 22 and 30.  I have a dog named Darcy who is like one of my children and 3 cats. I enjoy travelling and spending time at the beach, and have recently developed a new interest in kayaking. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.
