Welcome to Ms. Watson’s class where “We Are Family”.  I will begin by introducing myself.  I am from Smithfield, N.C. graduated from Smithfield Selma Senior High School.  I am a graduate of Essex County College in New Jersey where I obtained my A.S. in Early Childhood Education and Mount Olive University where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.

My passion is teaching.  I believe that every child can learn.  We all learn different that’s what make us unique. It is with all the compassion in me to teach our children and give them the knowledge to make them productive citizens.  Each student is an individual and as a whole class we are a Family learning from each other this important to me.  I am looking forward to a successful 2019-2020 school year.

    8:05-8:30          Student Arrive (after bell rings at 8:30 a.m. you must come in to sign child into school)

    8:35-10:40        Intructional ELA English Literature/Social Studies or Science

    10:45-11:20      Lunch    

    11:35-12:20      Enhancements

    12:25-12:55      Recess

    1:00-3:00          Instructional Math 

    3:00-3:30          Daily Meeting/Second Step

    3:30-3:45          Dismissal

    The April Johnston County Board of Education meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 7. The meeting will begin at 4:00 p.m. and be held in the Evander Simpson Building in Smithfield.
