Degrees and Certifications:

Christine Mitchell

I am a proud graduate of East Carolina University with a degree in Special Education including Certification in Learning Disabilities.  This is my 23rd year of teaching and my 6th year as EC resource teacher, grades 4-5 at Riverwood Elementary. My husband Mike and I have been married for twenty-nine years and have two sons.  Our oldest son, Austin, is a community college history instructor in Asheville, NC and our youngest son, Charlie, is a junior at Corinth Holders High School. My passion is teaching, but in my spare time I love to spend time with my family, walk, cook, and read.
