The Counseling & Student Services Department works to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to discover their potential to become lifelong learners. Through the delivery of a comprehensive counseling program, students will develop into innovative thinkers and problem-solvers prepared to compete in the careers of their choice.
I support student success in a number of ways. My primary responsibility is to promote success within the school environment. I recognize that students' overall well-being is fundamental to academic achievement, and I encourage students to see me when encountering academic, social, or personal difficulty. Meet Your Counselor
A little about me: I grew up in upstate New York and relocated to North Carolina when I was in high school. I graduated from North Carolina State University with B.A. in Psychology. I continued my education at East Carolina University earning a M.A.Ed. in Counseling. I am licensed through the NC Department of Public Instruction (K-12) and the NC Board for Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC). I am also a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I am owned by two very spoiled cats, Jingles and Sofie. I love the Yankees and baseball. In my spare time, I am a photographer and love to travel for new photo opportunities.
My door is open and I look forward to getting to know you!
