Welcome to the Circle of Friends Website
Circle of Friends is a social club allowing a specific time for disabled and non-disabled students to interact with one another.
Our mission is to provide inclusion for students with disabilities on our school campus by establishing the understanding and acceptance of differences, building genuine friendships, decreasing negative talk, and making a significant social impact within our school.
Circle of Friends members should be role models for their new friends with special needs. Behaving in an appropriate manner is vital. They should carry on peer conversations with the special needs friend. They should use school appropriate language and conversation topics, ask questions and guide answers if appropriate. Circle of Friends members should use appropriate body language, follow all school rules and dress appropriately.
Expectations of club members are for them to engage in conversation or activities with the members of the Life Skills class. This is a social room for that purpose. This is not a hangout for clicks, or couples or a place to go when you can’t find another space to go. Only students who have signed up for Circle of Friends club will be allowed in the rooms.
