Degrees and Certifications:
B.S. Social Science Education, Campbell University (2010) Social Studies Teaching Certification (Grades 6-12) AIG Certification (JCPS)
Mr. Matt Johnson
I am the World History and Civics/Economics teacher at Johnston County Early College Academy. That means I primarily work with our freshmen and sophomores. I'm a lifelong resident of Johnston County, having graduated from Clayton High School in 2006. From there, I completed my undergrad education at Campbell University in 2010 and received certification to teach social studies in both middle and high school. This is my 11th year teaching, and I love working with the students of JCECA.
I'm a total a nerd at heart - talk to me about Star Wars, Walt Disney World, or anything dealing with U.S. politics. My students will also tell you that few can match my sarcastic wit and dry sense of humor.
