BS Elementary Education
Hello! My name is Nicole Barefoot (Virtual Teacher). This will be my 4th year teaching. I taught kindergarten for 3 years, but am beyond excited to be teaching 1st Grade this year! I am 28 years old, married to Hunter Barefoot with a son named Noah (almost 2 years old). We are now expecting a baby girl in December! Currently I live in Meadow, which is where I grew up as a child. I graduated high school from South Johnston in 2010. From there I went to JCC and transferred to East Carolina University where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. I completed my student teaching at Four Oaks Elementary School in Kindergarten in the fall of 2016, and obviously loved it because I decided to stay and persue my career at the very same school! I did not go to Four Oaks Elementary as a student, however everyone in the school made me feel right at home. That is why they say Family, Faith, Four Oaks! I am proud to be apart of such a wonderful place.
As a teacher, I believe in building a strong relationship with each and every one of my students. Not only will your child will know that I care about them, they will know that I love them! I believe in doing what is best for your child, even when it means making hard choices. I promise that I will work as hard as I can for your child so he or she can grow as a learner, as well as a person.
My philosophy to live by is to treat others as the way you wish to be treated.
