Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Andrea Jones
Welcome to the home of Wilson's Mills Elementary School Mustangs!
For those of you visiting our website for the first time, please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Andrea Jones and I am proud and honored to be starting my sixth year as principal at Wilson's Mills Elementary School for the 2020-2021 school year.
I have been in education for over 26 years. I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Virginia Commonwealth University. I went on to obtain a Master's Degree in School Administration from The University of Scranton. I have spent 17 years in the classroom teaching Kindergarten, first, second and third grades.
Twelve years ago, my family moved from Virginia to the Clayton Area, and for one year I actually taught First Grade at Wilson's Mills. From there, I went on to become the Assistant Principal at Glendale-Kenly Elementary School and I served in that role for five years.
My commitment for this school year is to develop relationships with all stakeholders. Our staff will be committed to increasing student achievement for all students. It will be our desire to make a difference in each child's life. Our school wants to help all students become productive and independent citizens. We are focused on teaching students with engaging and relevant lessons. At Wilson's Mills we believe in growing our students as leaders.
I look forward to working with all Wilson's Mills stakeholders. I am excited about this upcoming school year, and please contact me if you ever have any questions or concerns.
Thank you in advance for your support!
