Welcome to Selma Elementary, home of the Yellow Jackets. My name is Maritza Rosado.  It is with great anticipation and excitement that I welcome you to the 2022-23 school year.  I am honored and humbled to begin my fifth year leading a school with such a strong tradition of commitment to our students and the community! 

Our goal at Selma Elementary is to provide our students with academic experiences that are engaging and will help them develop the academic and social skills they will need to be successful.  A focus on literacy, dual language immersion, social-emotional learning, and college preparation through our AVID program will be among the drivers to help us achieve this mission.  

As your Principal, it is important to me that everyone is excited about being a student at Selma Elementary. Working together as a partnership of educators, families, and community members will provide our students with an environment of academic excellence and high expectations.  Only together will we get to the heart of learning!

My door is always open and I welcome your input.  I look forward to working with our families and the community as a team to help each student at Selma Elementary meet their goals, be their best, and have a successful school year!  Together we are #SSStrong!
