2020-2021 PTA Board Positions
Thank you for all of your support. The PTA Board positions will be voted on at our General Assembly meeting in May each year. Below is a brief summary of each position. Please consider helping out. It is a great way to stay connected with the school and to help your child.
President:
Willingness to delegate tasks
Good listening skills
Effective communication skills
Prepare for and lead executive board meetings
Serves as the primary contact to the principal
Vice President:
Good listening skills
Effective communication skills
Lead the annual membership drive
Participate in executive board meetings and provide input for decisions
Secretary:
Good listening skills
Effective communication skills
Good computer skills
Strong organizational skills
Update bulletin board displays
Prepare agendas for general meetings
Record and distribute minutes of executive board meetings and general meetings
Treasurer:
Good at keeping files, computer skills
Create monthly Treasurer Summary
Reconcile the checkbook
Write checks as needed (two signatures and proper paperwork required)
Make deposits in a timely fashion, as needed
Box Tops Coordinator (a chair position)
Organizational skills
Works with the PTA
Responsible for collecting and submitting box tops
Spirit Wear Coordinator (a chair position)
Creativity
Communication skills
Works with the PTA
Responsible for contacting shirt companies, finding the best pricing, and distributing the shirts
