Mrs. Stephanie Haumont
So excited to be your school library media specialist!
Upon earning my Bachelor of Arts Degree in English, Secondary Education from North Carolina State University, I began working as an English Teacher for JCPS in 2001. In January 2006, I became a school librarian, and I received my Master of Library Science Degree from East Carolina in 2009.
I enjoy helping teachers and students with research, digital tools integration, digital leadership, and finding the right resource to fit any needs! In the Summer of 2019, I participated in the NC State Friday Institute's North Carolina Digital Leaders Coaching Network (NCDLCN), which is a program that allowed me to build on my capacity to lead and coach digital teaching and learning. I also serve as a technology contact for the school. I enjoy furthering my knowledge of educational technology and became a Certified Educational Chief Technology Officer (CeCTO) in 2015 through a program offered through a partnership between the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's School of Government, MCNC, and NCDPI.
I have been a lifelong lover of reading with Roald Dahl and Judy Blume being some of my all time favorite authors! I am the Battle of the Books advisor, and love talking books with my students!
The CvHS Ram Library is open from 6:45am until 3pm daily (unless otherwise noted), and operates on a flexible schedule during the school day. Teachers are encouraged to sign up for classes via the Ram Library appointment slots. Students who would like to visit the library individually during the school day should come with a note from a teacher and a purpose to be productive.
Ram Library Mission Statement:
