Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! I am excited to begin another new year with the amazing students at South Johnston High School. This will be my ninth year as a teacher. I look forward to continuing to work with students and learn from them.

I grew up in the mountains of North Carolina and graduated from Avery High School. The following fall I began my college career at North Carolina State University. Upon graduation, I moved to Harnett County and started my career as a teacher in elementary education. I taught fifth grade for two years before finding my way to South Johnston. I have been blessed with a career that allows me to teach students about agriculture, which is my true passion. Not only am I lucky enough to be able to help students learn about agriculture, but I am also able to advise students in the FFA and help them to learn leadership skills that will follow them throughout their lives.

My husband, James Michael, and I got married in January of 2015. We were blessed with a son, Maxton, in May of 2019. Together we live on the family farm where we grow cotton, tobacco, wheat, soybeans and corn. We love to travel together and are always looking for opportunities to explore and meet new people!
