A 2001 graduate of Appalachian State University for my undergrad as a North Carolina Teaching Fellow, I came to South Johnston High School as an English teacher.  In 2015 I completed my graduate program through Appalachian State with a Masters in School Administration.  After year 15 (2015-2016 school year) I transitioned to my new role as Dean of Virtual Learning and Testing.  I have successfully completed my renewal for my National Board Certification. 

I live with my husband, son, and black labs, Skinner and Riley, in Raleigh, NC.  We are avid hockey fans.  My husband coaches and my son plays for the AA Jr. Hurricanes.
