Brody Massengill

My name is Brody Massengill. I am the Athletic Director, and Head Men's Basketball Coach at South Johnston High School. I graduated from South Johnston in 2007. I graduated from Fayetteville State University in 2012. My wife is Mary Beth Massengill, who I married in 2014. In 2020, our first daughter was born.

    Staff will provide at least two additional hours weekly of “office hours” outside of the assigned times. Similar to POWER lunch where students can seek additional support, clarification or feedback regarding their learning. This will be communicated weekly by the teacher.

     

    It is understood that students may not be able to attend the exact times above. Teachers will have the content available for students, but it will be the students responsibility to complete the course work outside of the designated times above and email the teacher if they will not log in for the day.

     

    Grading and Assignments:

    -All assignments are posted by Friday at 4pm prior to the next week

    -Assignments are due by the following Friday by 1pm

    Grading Policy

    1. Friday to Friday > Possible 100%
    2. Following Week (1 week late) > Possible 75%
    3. Third Week (2 weeks late) > Possible 50%

    -Powerschool will be updated by 10 days after submission date of assignments

    Attendance Policy:

    The attendance policy will conform with the Johnston County Public Schools Board Policy

    You are allowed to have a maximum of 4 absences per 9 weeks; 8 absences per semester. 

    For attendance, you will be required to log into the course via Canvas. In the course, you will complete the “Sign In” form daily. To receive credit for your attendance, you will need to complete the form entirely. You are expected to have the form completed each day, before the closing of the school day.
