Hello! I grew up in Sampson County, and after earning my Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary English Education from UNCW, I worked in Arkansas for 5 years, and Sampson County Schools for one year, before finally finding my home at South Johnston High School. I also have a Graduate Certificate in Academically and Intellectually Gifted Education from UNC Charlotte.

 I am the Key Club advisor for South Johnston. Key Club is a  student-led community service and leadership organization.

I am an avid reader, and my favorite books are Little Women and The Great Gatsby.

I am also the mother of a five-year-old little girl named Brooklyn and a 3-month-old son named Maddox.

Other favorites include live country and classic rock music, The Wizard of Oz, Mary Poppins, I Love Lucy, The Golden Girls, chocolate, coffee, Disney World, and Myrtle Beach.
