I was born and raised in Johnston County, NC. I graduated from Smithfield Selma High School and North Carolina Wesleyan College. At Wesleyan I was part of the inaugural football team and went on to play in the NCAA Division III playoffs as a senior. I graduated from Wesleyan with a degree in History and Secondary Education. This will be my 11th year teaching at Smithfield Selma. I'm also The Head Women's and Men's Tennis Coach.

The Johnston County Board of Education voted to return Pre-K - 5th grade to Plan A, four days per week, beginning on Monday, March. 1.

JCPS transitions to Plan B for all students
The Johnston County Board of Education voted to return all Pre-K and EC-Self Contained students to Plan B, four days per week, beginning on Tuesday, Jan. 19. These students will participate in face-to-face instruction on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, with Wednesday serving as a remote learning day. All other students in grades K-12 will remain on Plan C until Monday, Feb. 1.
