Mr. Harvey "Wes" Hill

I am a 1985 graduate of Smithfield Selma High School.  I recieved my Bachelors Degree in Engineering from North Carolina State University in 1991.  From there I went into the work force and constructed projects such as the I-85 Corridor in Durham NC by Cole Mill Road, Buck Deam Freeway in Durham NC, Power Plant in Cope SC for SCE&G, I-74 in Marrietta GA., Nortel Networks Campus in RTP NC, Cisco Systems Campus in RTP NC, Briar Creek Golf Course in Raleigh NC, PNC Arena Raleigh NC, South Pointe Mall in Durham NC, Walmart in Clayton NC, Command Communications Facility at Fort Bragg in Fayetteville NC, and many other residential projects and highways throughout the state.  I have been teaching PLTW for the past 7 years at Smithfield Selma and now teach Technological Engineering here at Clayton High School.  I am certified in Introduction to Engineering, Principles of Engineering, Civil Engineering and Architecture, Engineering Design and Development.  I am energetic and bring a "real life" perspective to engineerng.  I have been the Head Football, Wrestling, and Softball Coach at Smithfield Selma but stepped away from that to spend time with my family which consist of my wife Gina, who is in the front office here at CHS, my 27 year old son, my daughter who is a rising sophmore at Shenandoah University, and my youngest son who is a rising senior.  I now coach football at Clayton High School.

Hope everyone had a great and safe summer.  Come back resting, relaxed, and ready to innovate!!!!!
