About Me
Teaching Experiences:
I have been teaching in the state of North Carolina for the past 15 years. I have taught a variety of math classes including Algebra 1, Geometry and Algebra 2, Math 1, Math 2, Math 3, Math 4, Advanced Functions and Modeling (AFM), Precalculus, and Calculus. I have taught the Undergraduate Physics Lab course at East Carolina University. I am a curriculum writer/instructor for an online course that stresses leadership development and mentorship for adult participants.

Board of Education Special Session set for March 1
A special called session of Johnston County Board of Education has been called for Monday, March 1, at 3:00 p.m. in the Evander Simpson Building in Smithfield. To comply with the Governorโs Executive Order, only the board members will be allowed in the boardroom. However, the open session portions of the meeting and all announcements will be accessible to the public via livestream.

JCPS Virtual Academy Interest Survey
Now more than ever, we are aware of the many different needs of our students and families. As we begin planning for the 2021-22 school year, we are seeking feedback from parents to gauge interest in establishing a Johnston County Public Schools Virtual Academy, as an alternative to the face-to-face instruction environment for students. JCPS High School Graduation and Prom details
Johnston County Public Schools has developed a detailed plan to mark senior milestones, including prom and graduation, while adhering to guidance from the Johnston County Public Health Department and the CDC in regards to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Pre-K - 5th Grade to return to Plan A on March 1
The Johnston County Board of Education voted to return Pre-K - 5th grade to Plan A, four days per week, beginning on Monday, March. 1.
