Have a safe and wonderful summer!  We look forward to seeing all of our old and new cadets in the Fall of 2020!

To SPARTA NATION, as we leave for the "summer break" make sure you have fun, spend time with family and friends, be safe and we look forward to seeing you for the 2020-2021 school year. Thank you for continuing to make Smithfield-Selma High School the great place that it is and always will be.  "ENJOY YOUR SUMMER BREAK! SPARTANS UNITE!

The 2020-2021 school year is the year SSS will be making bigger things happen in the Johnston County Public School System.  I have been a member of Smithfield-Selma High School for 16 years with 4 additional years of teaching in other school systems. After being back in the Johnston County School System for four years now I am more motivated and determined as ever to make a difference in the hearts and minds of our youth.

I  graduated from Excelsior College, located in Albany, New York and hold a minor in Elementary Education from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC.   I am a very proud veteran, having served on active duty in the Marine Corps for 20 years, 9 months, and 15 days (who's counting). While serving in the Marine Corps I have  received training in  business administration, recruiting and later became a Career Recruiter.  Some of the places I've traveled during my career in the Marine Corps was Beaufort, SC, St. Louis, MO, Southern and Northern California, Iwakuni, Japan, Seoul, Korea, Philippines, Alaska, and our great state of North Carolina.

In my pastime I like to run, play tennis, volleyball, watch NASCAR and spend time with my family. I have five grand babies and they are the best! Yay!
