WELCOME BACK!  We look forward to seeing all of our new and returning old cadets in the Fall of 2021!

To SPARTA NATION, now that summer has come to an end I hope you got much needed rest,  had lots of fun, spent lots of time with family and friends, and can't wait to begin the 2021-2022 school year. Thank you for continuing to make Smithfield-Selma High School the great place that it is and always will be.  "WE'RE BACK! SPARTANS UNITE!

During the 2021-2022 school year SSS will once again make bigger things happen mentally, morally physically, socially and academically in the Johnston County Public School System.  I have been a member of Smithfield-Selma High School for 17 and in education for 21 years. After being back in the Johnston County School System for five years, I am more motivated and determined than ever to make a difference in the hearts and minds of our youth. After being in a COVID-19 protocol for the past 18 months and with the majority of our students learning remotely or on a blended schedule we are going to be better and more resilient than ever. We are a family and we will get it done together. Remember, we can't do our job without you. Looking forward to some great things happening in our program and school this year.

I  graduated from Excelsior College, located in Albany, New York. I hold a minor in Elementary Education from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC.   I am a very proud veteran, having served on active duty in the Marine Corps for 20 years, 9 months, and 15 days (who's counting). While serving in the Marine Corps, I have  received training in  business administration, recruiting and later became a Career Recruiter.  Some of the places I've traveled during my career in the Marine Corps was Beaufort, SC; St. Louis, MO; Southern and Northern California; Iwakuni, Japan; Seoul, Korea; Philippines; Alaska; and our great state of North Carolina. I have 4 children, five grand babies and one wife who I've been married to for almost 30 years.

In my pastime I like to run, play tennis, play volleyball, watch NASCAR, football, basketball, and spend time with my family.
