WELCOME BACK! We look forward to seeing all of our new and returning old cadets in the Fall of 2020!
To SPARTA NATION, now that summer has come to an end I hope you got much needed rest, had lots of fun, spent lots of time with family and friends, and can't wait to begin the 2020-2021 school year. Thank you for continuing to make Smithfield-Selma High School the great place that it is and always will be. "WE'RE BACK! SPARTANS UNITE!
During the 2020-2021 school year SSS will once again make bigger things happen in the Johnston County Public School System. I have been a member of Smithfield-Selma High School for 16 years with 4 additional years teaching in the Grady County School System located in Cairo, Georgia. After being back in the Johnston County School System for four years, I am more motivated and determined than ever to make a difference in the hearts and minds of our youth.
I graduated from Excelsior College, located in Albany, New York. I hold a minor in Elementary Education from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. I am a very proud veteran, having served on active duty in the Marine Corps for 20 years, 9 months, and 15 days (who's counting). While serving in the Marine Corps, I have received training in business administration, recruiting and later became a Career Recruiter. Some of the places I've traveled during my career in the Marine Corps was Beaufort, SC; St. Louis, MO; Southern and Northern California; Iwakuni, Japan; Seoul, Korea; Philippines; Alaska; and our great state of North Carolina. I have 4 children, five grand babies and one wife who I've been married to for almost 30 years.
In my pastime I like to run, play tennis, play volleyball, watch NASCAR, football, basketball, and spend time with my family.
