Hello my name is Omaira Plount and  I am the Spanish IB teacher at Smithfield-Selma High School. I  have been working with the school system for 24 years.  I have earned a master degree in Business Administration awarded through the University of Panama. Coming to United Stated of America and through the years I have earned a second degree in Hispanic Studies in education through East Carolina University, and a Master degree at University of Phoenix and UNC Ashville in Hispanic Literature and Culture concentration. As an educator, I value my job and the opportunity that I have to teach. My main priorities are my student’s success; and  I truly believe in the way I approach to education and the benefits it brings to the students.
