Mr. James Massey

  Hello:

My name is Jimmy Massey,  I am the  Auotmotive Instructor here at CHHS,  This is my  5th year teaching here , I transfered from SSS and have been teaching auto shop for 10 years now.

The students will use computers for the shop safety program SP/2 and also for learning from online program CDX

The Automotive course has 4 classes as followed:

1. Intro to Automotive Now called Fundamentals of Automotive Service

2. Automotive 13. Automotive 2

4. Automotive 3

When the students finish the class they should be able to do complete maintenance on a vehicle.

With a major shortage of automotive technicians today, this is a great field to be involved in.

Also, students who finish the course will be able to take the G1  ASE test and if they pass, they will be certified ASE mechanic in General Maintenance for 2 years.

The students also have enrolled with Wayne Community College, Wake Technical College  and participate in the GM or Dodge program. This is where they go to school and work for a local dealership.

 1st Semester Schedule:

1st Block: Fundamentals of Automotive

2nd Block: Auto 2

3rd Block:

4th Block:Fundamentals of Automotive
